OGERY Insulated & Self-Inflating Pads

Self-inflating sleeping pads for camp comfort.

4 products in this category

OGERY pads that emphasize self-inflate valves, pump assists, or high R-value insulation. Includes the R-Value 9.0 insulated pad (4.7" thick), the 3.15" foam pad with a built-in electric pump, and two bundles built on the 6" ultralight pad. Start here for colder ground or powered setup. Our OGERY review compares the inflation method of every OGERY pad, including these.

Who it's for

Cold-weather campers and shoppers comparing insulation ratings before buying a comfort-only air pad.

What you'll find

  • Assumption: every pad here inflates itself. In fact: the R-Value 9.0 Insulated Pad fills from a lightweight pump bag that keeps breath moisture out, while the 3.15" Foam Pad with Electric Pump uses a built-in electric pump to inflate and deflate.
  • Assumption: thickness alone keeps a pad warm. In fact: the R-Value 9.0 pad gets its warmth from multi-layer reflective insulation, aimed at snow camping, winter backpacking and alpine trips.
  • Assumption: a warm pad is too heavy to carry. In fact: the R-Value 9.0 pad packs down for a backpack and uses abrasion-resistant 40D nylon with a TPU coating.
  • Assumption: a powered pump is only about setup. In fact: deflating with the electric pump also squeezes the 3.15-inch pad down for storage.
  • Assumption: foam pads can't be warm. In fact: OGERY's comparison chart rates the 3.15-inch electric-pump pad at R-6.0, warmer than its other foam pads, though well short of the R-9.0 pad.
  • Assumption: every pad here is for backpacking. In fact: the R-Value 9.0 pad weighs about 2.5 lb and folds to about 8.3" x 5.5", while OGERY says the 3.15-inch pad is meant for car camping, RVs and guest beds rather than ultralight trips.

How to choose

Comfort details separate the two single pads. The 3.15-inch pad blends responsive memory foam with adjustable air, so adding or letting out air makes it softer or firmer, and a raised pillow is built in. Its surface is designed to cut the crinkle of air-only pads, and an insulated foam core separates you from cold or damp ground, which suits tents, car camping, RV trips and guest beds more than ultralight backpacking. The R-Value 9.0 pad's 4.7-inch air cells give side, back and combination sleepers extra space above uneven ground. Size matters too: the R-9.0 pad is 70.8" x 24", shorter and narrower than the 76.77" x 26.38" electric-pump pad, so taller sleepers should check length. The bundles pair the 6-inch ultralight pad with either the 3-inch memory foam pad or the 18000mAh remote lantern, which suits families who want a second bed or a light in the same order.
