OGERY 20000mAh Camping Fan Review: Who It Fits

Who it fits, what you get, and what to check before you buy.

Verdict

OGERY's F11 camping fan does three jobs: it moves air, lights the tent and charges your phone. The 20000mAh battery runs it for up to 200 hours on the lowest speed, so one charge covers a long weekend of warm nights with plenty to spare. Stepless speed, oscillation, a remote and a sleep timer make it easy to live with in a tent. Pick it if hot, still nights are what keeps you awake at camp.

What it is

A battery-powered fan about 15" tall with a built-in LED lantern, a carry handle and a rotating hook. It works on a table, hangs from a tent loop, and doubles as a power bank through USB and USB-C outputs.

Feature walkthrough

Airflow. The fan pushes air at up to 5.0 m/s. Stepless speed control means you can set it anywhere between a strong daytime breeze and a whisper for sleeping, rather than jumping between a few fixed speeds.

Runtime. Up to 200 hours at the lowest speed and 17 hours at the highest. With oscillation on, expect 14–35 hours. The lantern on its own runs 36–165 hours.

Aiming. The head tilts through 270° vertically and oscillates at 30°, 60°, 90° or 120°. Point it straight at the cot, or sweep the whole tent.

Remote and timer. The infrared remote works from up to 5 m. A 1, 2, 4 or 8-hour timer switches the fan off after you fall asleep, and you can turn off the indicator light and the beeper so neither disturbs you.

Lantern. The LED light has three brightness levels, enough for reading, a card game or finding the zip at 2 a.m.

Charging. With a compatible 18W fast charger, the battery refills in about 7.5 hours, and the fan keeps running while it charges. The USB and USB-C outputs top up two small devices at once, at up to 22.5W. No wall charger comes in the box; OGERY's PD20W Fan Charging Adapter is made for the F11.

Using it in a tent

Hang the fan from the roof loop above your head and aim it slightly toward your feet, or stand it at the foot of the bed and tilt it up. Open the tent's top vents and the door mesh so the fan pulls in cooler air rather than stirring warm air around. Set the timer for two or four hours; the coolest part of the night usually doesn't need it.

Charging between trips

Top up the battery before you leave rather than on arrival, so the 20000mAh battery starts the trip full. A USB-C wall charger is not in the box, so pack one, or use the PD20W adapter OGERY sells for its fans. Store the fan charged if it will sit for weeks.

Who it fits

Tent and car campers on summer trips, festival goers, RV owners, and anyone who wants a fan for a power cut at home that also charges a phone.

Who should skip

If you only need light, the Camping String Lights 32.8FT or the Multi-Tool Lantern 983LM are smaller and lighter. Backpackers counting ounces will find a 15" fan bulky.

Pros

  • Fan, lantern and power bank in one.
  • Runs while charging; long runtime on low.
  • Night-friendly: timer, light-off and beeper-off settings.

Cons

  • Wall charger not included.
  • Even fast charging takes about 7.5 hours.
  • Bulkier than clip-on fans.
