OGERY Foam & Inflating Sleep Pads

Closed-cell and foam pads for backpacking and car camping.

4 products in this category

Comfort-oriented OGERY sleeping pads that lead with foam hybrid or thick inflating construction. Here you’ll find the 6" ultralight foot-pump pad, the 3" memory-foam self-inflating pad and the 1.6" insulated foam mattress in green and orange. Start here when thickness and car-camp comfort matter more than a high R-value for extreme cold. How each of these pads inflates, from foot pump to pump sack, is explained in our OGERY review.

Who it's for

Car campers, tent campers, and travelers who want a thicker pad or foam feel for weekend trips.

What you'll find

  • Side sleepers who press hard at the shoulder and hip can start with the 3" Memory Foam Self-Inflating Pad, a 77 x 27 x 3 in hybrid of foam and air built to cut the bouncy feel of an air-only pad.
  • Back and stomach sleepers get even support from that pad without heavy sink-in, and a built-in foot pump fine-tunes firmness.
  • Light sleepers get a foam-filled interior that mutes the movement sounds common to air-only mattresses.
  • Sleepers who want a full-size surface that still rolls up tight can look at the Foam Camping Mattress, which lies flat at 76.7" x 26.7" x 1.6" around a high-rebound foam core and weighs about 3 lb.
  • Campers who want the most air under them can pick the Ultralight 6" Inflating Pad: 79" x 27.5" x 6" inflated, about 2.4 lb, with snap buttons to join two into a double.
  • Anyone comparing warmth can use OGERY's own comparison chart: R-5 for the 3" memory-foam pad and the 1.6" foam mattress, R-4.5 for the 6" air pad.

How to choose

Sleeping position points you to a thickness, and setup settles the rest. The 1.6" mattress fills from an included pump sack that keeps breath moisture away from the foam, and its 20D ripstop nylon shell with a 0.8mm TPU coating resists abrasion, punctures and water on rocky ground. It also doubles as an SUV bed or a spare mattress at home. The 3-inch pad adds cushioning, with abrasion-resistant nylon and a textured base that keeps it from sliding on tent floors, car trunks or cots. For the deepest cushion in this group, the 6" ultralight pad pairs a built-in pillow with a built-in foot pump. Both foam pads rely on their inner foam to cut heat loss to cold ground. Weight decides the rest: the 3" pad is about 6 lb and rolls to roughly 27.6" x 8", so it lives in the car, while the 6" air pad packs to about 5.9" x 5.9" x 11" and the foam mattress to about 16" x 9". None of these is a winter pad; for frozen ground, the R-9.0 pad in OGERY Insulated & Self-Inflating Pads is the one to look at.
