How to Charge the OGERY Camping Fan, and Why It Might Be Slow

The OGERY Camping Fan, 20000mAh is OGERY's F11. It has a big battery, and big batteries take a while to fill. The charger you plug it into makes the biggest difference: OGERY's own comparison puts it at 7.5 hours on an 18W fast charger against 16 hours at 10W. Here's how to get the faster number.

| Question | Answer from OGERY |
|---|---|
| Charging port | USB-C (input up to 18W) |
| Cable in the box | Yes, a USB charging cable |
| Wall charger in the box | No |
| Fast-charge standards | QC3.0, PD3.0, SCP, UFCS |
| Time to full on 18W | About 7.5 hours (OGERY's spec table says 7.5 to 10) |
| Time at 10W | About 16 hours, per OGERY's comparison |
| Use while charging | Yes |
| Charges your phone | Yes, USB-A and USB-C out, about 22W max |
Step by step
- Plug the included cable into the fan's USB-C charging port.
- Plug the other end into a fast charger that supports PD or QC. The fan takes up to 18W, so a 20W PD charger such as OGERY's PD20W Fan Charging Adapter covers it. OGERY makes that adapter for its F6, F11 and F21 fans.
- Leave it. On a fast charger, expect around 7.5 hours from empty, and as long as 10.
- Unplug once it's full and take it camping. Fully charged, the product page rates it at up to 200 hours on the lowest speed and 17 hours on the highest, or 14 to 35 hours with oscillation running.
Why it's charging slowly
A charge that seems to take forever is usually down to the power source, not the fan.
- An old phone cube or a laptop USB-A port. These often deliver well under 18W, and OGERY's own numbers show what that costs: at 10W, a full charge takes about 16 hours.
- A charger that doesn't speak a fast-charge standard. The fan's chip handles QC3.0, PD3.0, SCP and UFCS. A plain 5V charger will still work, just slowly.
- A worn or thin cable. Try the cable that came in the box before blaming the charger.
- Running it hard while it charges. The fan does keep working on the cable, which is great overnight. But a fan on high oscillation is drawing power out while the charger puts it in, so it fills more slowly.
If it won't take a charge at all from a known-good fast charger and the original cable, contact OGERY support rather than forcing it.
Charge it before a trip, then top up at camp
The 20000mAh battery means you rarely need to charge mid-trip, but a few habits help:
- Start every trip full, and give it the whole night on the charger beforehand, not a quick hour.
- At a powered site, plug it in during the day while you're out. It's ready for the night.
- Use the timer: 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours shuts the fan off after you fall asleep, so the battery isn't drained by morning.
Using the fan as a power bank
The same battery can top up your phone. The USB-A and USB-C outputs charge two devices at once, at up to 22.5W according to the product page (OGERY's site rounds it to 22W). Every phone charge comes out of the fan's runtime, so on a long trip without power, decide which matters more on the last night.
